I used the recipe editor on the Mac to create a recipe for use on my iPhone tethered to a Sony camera. It would be really useful to be able to cut/copy/paste and duplicate a section (i.e., a loop or a sequence).
When running the recipe on the phone, an indication of the progress or what step is being done (i.e., “Waiting 5 secs then take shot”) would be very useful. I was using it to shoot the eclipse and a progress information would have been extremely useful.
Some mechanism to have multiple recipes loaded and then fire them off from buttons on the tethering screen - I had 2 recipes for the eclipse - one essentially a timelapse and the other some intensive bracketing for the totality. It was a bit fiddly to switch in a hurry.
In the recipe editor, it would be great to have a few special purpose loops - such as a bracketing loop perhaps listing a range of exposures/shutter/apertures in an easy interface. Perhaps a timelapse (run every X seconds/minutes)?
Thanks for the feedback! We’re currently working on our big UI overhaul for Liquid Glass, and Recipes’ UI will be getting a refresh as part of that. We’ll keep your feedback in mind as we work on that.
